The story behind Swig Smoothies

and the journey so far.

Swig Smoothies started with a simple idea: healthy food should be exciting, accessible and genuinely enjoyable.

Founded in North Wales, Swig began life as a single smoothie van travelling to festivals and events across the country.

Our goal was to offer something different – a vibrant, nutritious alternative to the usual food and drink options.

What started as a small idea quickly gained momentum, and today Swig has become a familiar sight at some of Wales’ biggest cultural events, including the National

Eisteddfod.

From the beginning, we have believed that good health and good taste should go hand in hand.

Every Swig smoothie is made using only high-quality fruit and vegetables, carefully blended to create bold flavours, smooth textures and drinks that make you feel as good as they taste.

But Swig is about more than just smoothies. Over the past few years we have expanded into education and wellbeing, delivering interactive nutrition sessions to schools across North Wales. Our smoothie bikes allow pupils to make their own smoothies while learning about healthy eating, proving that nutritious food can be fun and delicious.

Working with partners such as Menter Môn, Aberystwyth University and Swansea University, we continue to develop programmes that support the wellbeing of young people across Wales.

We are also proud to work with cafés, gyms and community spaces across the region, bringing Swig smoothies to more people than ever before.

At the heart of Swig is a commitment to community, sustainability and Welsh culture. Our team operates through the Welsh language, and we take pride in creating a brand that feels rooted in the places and people we serve.

What began as a smoothie van has grown into something much bigger: a wellbeing brand built around flavour, energy and community.

Booking Swig is simple. Just get in touch through our enquiry form with your event details including date, location and approximate guest numbers, and we’ll confirm availability and provide a quote.

What types of events do you attend?

Swig appears at festivals, markets and community events across Wales, and we can also be hired for private events including weddings, corporate days, schools, sports events and parties.

What is the difference between the smoothie van and the smoothie bikes?

Our smoothie van is ideal for larger events where we serve delicious fruit smoothies directly to guests.

Our smoothie bikes are interactive — guests pedal the bike to power the blender and make their own smoothie, making them perfect for schools, wellness days and team building.

How many people can you serve?

This depends on the type and length of the event, but we can comfortably serve large crowds at festivals as well as smaller private events. Let us know your expected numbers and we’ll recommend the best setup.
